About Twin 3D
The technical and human partner for your 3D digital healthcare projects
Since 2021, Twin 3D has supported healthcare professionals and medical device manufacturers in their 3D digital projects. We work in particular on design software and patient-specific digital twins, as well as on training and support. Twin 3D now supports more than 150 clients, including hospitals, clinics, medical device manufacturers and laboratories.
Our story
Twin 3D was born from a need identified in the field: healthcare professionals and medical device manufacturers wishing to get started in 3D design lacked a partner able to support them in a structured way, on both the technical and the human side.
The company was founded in 2021 by Jérôme Esteves and Enzo Licata. A graduate of ESSCA, Jérôme first worked at Johnson & Johnson before founding Twin Medical, a company that became, in twelve years, one of the French leaders in educational healthcare simulation, and which he later sold.
It was during this venture that he met Enzo, a biomedical engineer who graduated from Polytech Marseille. Together, they identified a need for innovative tools and services dedicated to medical 3D. To meet it, they created Twin 3D in 2021.
Our vision
Our approach is based on three principles:
- Tools chosen for their usefulness. We select powerful, innovative software for what it concretely brings to users: greater productivity and simpler everyday use.
- Long-term support. We advise, train and support our users to help them optimise their workflows, their innovations and their productivity.
- Developments driven by user needs. Our software solutions, such as our Dynabot plugins, are developed from the needs expressed by our users. This “Voice of Customer” approach guides our development priorities.
The founding team
Jérôme Esteves — Sales & Marketing
Jérôme leads the commercial and marketing aspects of Twin 3D and contributes to the development of the company and its offerings.
Enzo Licata — Technical Director
Enzo leads the technical side and the software development at Twin 3D. He also supports clients in deploying their tools and in training.
Our solutions and partners
Twin 3D is an accredited partner of Hexagon, Synopsys, 3D Systems and Polyquark for the distribution and deployment of their solutions in France, Belgium, Switzerland and French-speaking African countries.
Simpleware (Synopsys)
Software for creating patient-specific digital twins from clinical imaging (DICOM), through segmentation and 3D modelling.
Geomagic Freeform (Hexagon)
CAD software designed to work on organic shapes, particularly human anatomy. It makes it possible to design various types of medical devices: surgical guides and implants, orthoses, prostheses, assistive devices, boluses, etc.
Dynabot
Plugins developed in-house by Twin 3D for Geomagic Freeform. They automate the design of patient-specific medical devices in order to simplify design and improve productivity and quality.
Wrapstyler (Polyquark)
Software for creating 2D templates (patterns) from 3D models, in particular for designing covers, sleeves and coverings adapted to organic or complex shapes.
Our support methodology
Each project follows several stages, from the first conversation through to support:
-
1
Needs assessment. We analyse your challenges, constraints and processes.
-
2
Proof of concept (PoC). We carry out a demonstration or a tailor-made development using your own data to verify that the solution meets your needs.
-
3
Choice of solution. Based on the PoC results, we help you select the most suitable tool.
-
4
Installation. We deploy the solution in your working environment.
-
5
-
6
Support. We remain available after deployment to help you use and optimise your tools.
Who do we support?
Twin 3D now supports more than 150 clients in setting up and deploying their 3D digital projects:
- medical device manufacturers;
- hospitals and clinics;
- groups and practices of prosthetists-orthotists, podiatrists and occupational therapists;
- dental laboratories;
- public and private R&D laboratories.
In total, more than 500 staff members have been trained and nearly 350 workstations installed.
Where do we operate?
Twin 3D operates in France, Belgium, Switzerland and French-speaking African countries. Depending on the project, support can be provided on site or remotely.

Twin 3D is an accredited partner of Hexagon, Synopsys, 3D Systems and Polyquark. The company distributes and deploys Geomagic Freeform, Simpleware and Wrapstyler, among others, and also develops its own Dynabot plugins to automate the design of patient-specific medical devices.
Yes. Twin 3D assists its clients with the installation of its solutions, trains their teams in how to use them and then provides ongoing support to help them make the most of their tools.
Yes. Twin 3D develops, among other things, the Dynabot plugins for Geomagic Freeform, based on the needs expressed by its users. These developments make it possible to automate certain design steps for patient-specific medical devices.
Twin 3D can carry out a proof of concept (PoC) using the client’s own data. This stage makes it possible to test the solution in a real-world use case before selecting the tool and proceeding with its deployment.
